UK Ranger Regiment Preparation Programme
ABOUT THE PROGRAMME
Built in conjunction with the Ranger Training team, for candidates heading into the Ranger Preparation Course (RPC) and the Ranger Qualification Course (RQC), this 24 week cycle is organised around the demands the Regiment actually asks of you: moving well under load, repeatedly, for months at a time.
Loaded work builds from one session a week to two, spaced four days apart. One heavier, shorter and slower to build tolerance. One lighter and longer to practise tabbing. By the end you are carrying 30kg over three hours.
WHY WE DESIGNED THIS
People do not fail the Ranger pathway on strength. They fail on speed, endurance and load carriage.
Train those in blocks, and you are good at one while sliding backwards on the other two. Selection asks for all of it on the same day, and it can ask at short notice.
This cycle runs them concurrently, start to finish, spaced so they do not compete. What is built by this cycle is someone ready whenever the call comes, not someone peaked for a week.
